A CRY AGAINST CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE

Walking back home through the boulevard,
I realized some child cry hard.
With etched fear, I decided to see,
What it could actually be.
Peeping through the air vent,
Being able to see to a small distant.
I noticed a girl(barely teen), and a fat man,
Who was likely to be her headman.

I couldn't forget the face of that angelic girl,
Tear filled eyes, yet it silently glittered like pearl.
Hiding there, nothing much I could do,
But empathize, as her master hit her black and blue.
Cries of hunger and pain as she braved through the daylight,
Unable to stop the dirty men, who pounded and raped her every night.
Her innocent heart cried for survival,
For there was no way she could escape from this brothel.

I never knew what her mistake was,
For which she was punished without any pause.
Her cries echoed as she was whipped again and again,
Soon, she puffed out her last breath to relieve herself from the pain.
I sniveled my walk down the lane,
With pain I would never be able to constrain
Only God can now give her peace,
And we, pray and hope for Child sexual abuse to cease.

  16. @Sulaiman. The poem was well written. I could understand your attempt at bringing out the agony faced by children being abused. I also like the fact that you didn't try to sugar coat your work. you get brownie points for that.

@everyone else- Call me a vindictively bitter harpy if you will. I don't understand how you could use the word "good" anywhere in or around the topic of Child Abuse, regardless of the fact that were praising the poem not the content.

  26. @praveen :- yes there should be ways to stop, the govt has to make more stricter rules, but before that people have to realize about the mistake they are doing by spoling the lives of these innocent children...

yes and indeed we should pray for this(what I mentioned above) to actually happen

  28. I wonder............ How can we get rid of the beast within every man

    ReplyDelete
  29. @Manjulla Datta Mam--> rightly pointed out its the inner beast which is responsible for getting all wrong things done, I remember a Yoga master, who came only once to our school , he delivered a very important life changing speech... Its the Inner devil which kills you and its this yoga which keeps the devil under control. I still feel yoga is one of the way in which we can control this beast

Well other ways can be like to think before we act, if we feel one thing is wrong, then whatever it be we shouldn't go for the wrong. A stronger decision is very important

my personal feeling is if one reads the holy verses of their own religion and detoxifies their self, then no bad thought is gonna come, and no way it will be expressed out
